Stripe’s new support of Apple Pay and Google Pay means site visitors will feel comfortable using a payment method they know and trust, while store owners can enjoy receiving fast and seamless payments online. It’s a great checkout option for everyone.

Having Apple Pay and Google Pay as payment options at checkout will increase your clients’ store conversion thanks to the much shorter and bug-free process. This is particularly significant on mobile, where store visitors can check out with a single tap.

Apple Pay and Google Pay options are automatically available for all store owners that have Stripe as an integrated payment gateway. These new payment methods will show in checkout without any changes required on your or your client’s end. 

Apple Pay will be visible at checkout only if the store visitor is using an Apple device such as a Macbook or an iPhone, and has their Apple Pay account set up with a payment method*. The same goes for Google Pay (it will be visible only if the store visitor is using an Android device or Google Chrome, and if they have a payment method set up in their account).

*Please keep in mind that Apple Pay won’t show if the cart is in test mode (meaning, when you’re previewing a site or when viewing a site published on the Demo plan).
